for everyone
Every car owner needs to make sure that they have insurance before they can legally drive on the roads. Car insurance is a driving requirement in most countries. It provides financial protection against the cost of fire, theft or accident.

Car insurance prices can be very different from company to company and there are three levels of cover to choose from. The price is affected by the level of cover, your age, your driving experience and the vehicle that you are insuring.

The highest level of cover that you can have is called Fully Comprehensive. As the name suggests this covers just about everything and is the most popular option. If you are involved in an accident with someone else both your car and the car of the third party is covered.

This policy also covers you for instances of theft, fire, vandalism and just about anything else that can happen to your car. However this may not be the best option for you if you are a young driver or have recently passed your test as it can prove to be very expensive.

The next level down is Third Party Fire and Theft. With this option your car is only insured if it is damaged in a fire or is stolen. It also covers a third party who are involved in an accident with you, but your vehicle is not covered.

The minimum level of cover that you can have is called Third Party. This does not cover your car in any way. It only covers the costs of repair to a third party car if you have an accident that is deemed to be your fault.

If your household has two or more vehicles then it may be worth investigating a multi-vehicle policy where more than one car is insured on the same policy. The can be cheaper than insuring each vehicle individually.

Many outlets offer car insurance these days. You can buy it from insurance companies or even from a supermarket. With so many options being available it can be hard to know how to find the best quote.

One option is to use a comparison website. This allows you to input all your information once and the details of the cover that you want and you will be presented with a list of quotes from several companies. From here you will be able to compare both the prices and the different options each provider has to offer.

You should remember that not all companies choose to be part of these comparison websites so it is possible that you may be able to find a cheaper quote or one that better suits your specific needs from elsewhere.

If you already have car insurance then you will have received a renewal notice from your current insurance provider. It is advised that you compare this quote to others as your renewal may not be the cheapest quote you can get.
